Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: February, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to PaperFormat.net ("we", "our", or "us"). These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and formatting tools. By accessing and using this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use PaperFormat.net if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
2. Service Description
PaperFormat.net provides a browser-based, rich-text editing and formatting engine designed to assist students and researchers. Our tools automatically format text, generate front matter (such as cover pages and certificates), construct indexes (Table of Contents, Table of Figures), and apply specific publisher templates (e.g., IEEE, Springer LNCS) to user-provided content.
3. Data Privacy and User Content
In these Terms and Conditions, "User Content" shall mean any text, images, LaTeX equations, university letterheads, or other material you choose to input, upload, or generate using this Website.
Client-Side Processing: Our formatting engine operates entirely within your local web browser using WebAssembly. We do not transmit, upload, save, or store your User Content on our external servers.
By using this tool, you verify that you own the rights to the data you input. Because data is processed locally and backed up only to your browser's local storage cache, we are not responsible for any accidental loss of data if your browser cache is cleared or compromised.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated, PaperFormat.net and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all proprietary software, engine logic, template designs, and branding material on PaperFormat.net. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may access this tool for your own personal, academic, or professional use subject to the restrictions set in these terms and conditions.
- You must not republish, sell, rent, or sub-license material or software from PaperFormat.net.
- You must not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our WebAssembly formatting engine.
5. Disclaimer of Liability & Accuracy
The templates, layout generations, and formatting outputs provided by PaperFormat.net are provided on an "as is" basis. While we strive to maintain strict adherence to guidelines (such as IEEE, Springer, and standard University formats), guidelines change frequently and may vary by specific institutions.
Important Notice: We are not responsible for any grading deductions, manuscript rejections, publication delays, or academic penalties incurred by the use of our formatting tools. It is the sole responsibility of the user to verify that the final exported PDF meets their specific institutional, university, or publisher requirements before official submission.
Technical Accuracy: PaperFormat.net can make mistakes, especially when uploading and parsing .docx files. Additionally, style updates may occasionally not reflect immediately due to browser caching issues. Always double-check your document before exporting.
6. Modifications and Interruptions
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site or our formatting templates at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue all or part of the Services without notice at any time. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site or the Services.
